How do you prepare for editing?

Each of our editors has a slightly different approach, but we start with a thorough review of your message and any notes we have prepared–then we dive i to your story so we can get to know your characters.

What kind of editing do I need?

That depends on your goals. Information about the different kinds of editing services we offer can be found on our “Services” page or by sending us a message. We’re happy to help customize a package for you and the story you want to tell. Your experience is completely up to you.

What are the requirements for documents I submit?

Documents submitted for editing services must be formatted as .docx or Google Docs files with 1” in margins. Documents should be double spaced and use a readable 12 point font. Chapter separation is preferred. Do not encrypt submitted files. Authors may include a 1-page letter that includes context, background, questions, or other notes for editor where appropriate.
